Quipu and other stuff
This is a Quipu. No its is not a necklace, it is not a wall decoration, it's not supposed to be wrapped around a flower pot or a skirt. There are knots placed at various points and it may look random but it is not. It does look really random and it did to me at first. But it is only because it was meaningless to me.

What this is actually is not random at all, it in fact has a lot of meaning in it.

It is a visual record of numbers the Incas used to keep track of things...like how much stock of a particular thing is there in a store or even just the age of things.

Its mathematical, not random at all. It only seems random to us because it's meaningless to us. If you understand that this is a basically a numerical book then it bestows meaning to us and it becomes not random.

Perhaps it's what visual randomness is? a perception of meaninglessness.
